Wrath of the Roothless
Wrath of the Roothless (WotR) is a 2D tilted orthogonal, melee-focussed-combat roguelite. Lots of buzzwords aside, the game is focussed on deliberate combat like Dark Souls and The Surge.
The player is able to choose from one of the available Roothless characters to play a 'run' with. Each character adds their own unique twists to the basic gameplay, with great visual feedback supporting them. Roles:
Gameplay Programmer, Puppet Master (AI), World Generator (procedural generation), Concept Creator, Mechanics Designer, Unit Designer, World Builder, 3D Artist, Animator, Shader Chief, Marketeer. (basically everything except sound, and final art asset creator) |
Tied Together
Tied Together is a 2-4-player party game about monsters which have to escape, but there is one catch: they are tied together by a rope. Because of this the players have to show some serious cooperation skills. Remember, the team is only as strong as the weakest link!
I had the delight to work on this project for a few months, I started when the project was sort of at the Beta phase, and I helped develop mechanics to elevate the gameplay. Next to mechanics I worked on general improvements. Due to budget restraints I was not able to help finish the game, it was released on October 19th 2019 on the Nintendo Switch. Roles:
